The school is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. Incarnate Word Academy is seeking applicants for the following positions:
Staff:
Vice-President Advancement
The Director of Advancement will collaborate with the Incarnate Word Academy President to implement a comprehensive annual giving program which will increase philanthropic support for Incarnate Word Academy. This individual will focus on attracting new donors while renewing and upgrading current donors, as well as increasing the overall annual fund participation rate. This will include managing a portfolio of leadership gift prospects, the annual fund strategy, advancement services and supporting the fundraising goals of the institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Work closely with the President in developing and executing IWA’s comprehensive advancement plan.
● Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward current and prospective donors, moving them to initiate or expand their financial support.
● Attract and increase the current number of annual donors. Manage a portfolio of new prospects and existing donors, overseeing and personally executing solicitations and the closing of leadership gifts of $1,000 and above, in order to achieve predetermined financial goals.
● Collaborate with the President to implement a comprehensive Annual Giving Program including strategic planning, annual fund appeals, special events and stewardship.
● Facilitate prospective donor cultivation and solicitation to meet or exceed Auction sponsorship goals, Fund-A-Need and attendance goals.
● Provide strategic and creative direction to elevate and increase the annual giving program through print, digital, social or video collateral.
● Coordinate with the Director of Communications and Advancement team to provide statistics, student outcomes, alumnae stories, and other information needed for donor communications, stewardship, social media and the website.
● Manage Advancement Services Coordinator, Manager of Special Events/Admissions Associate and Manager of Alumnae Engagement.
Desired Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of 7 years of advancement experience.
● Demonstrated skill in gift solicitation of leadership gifts of $1,000 and above.
● Experience coordinating nonprofit donation strategies and coordinating fundraising initiatives.
● Excellent oral and written communications skills.
● Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar fundraising software a plus.
● Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
● Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
● Fluency with donor tracking software and social media platforms; proficiency with Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred.
● Ensure the proper receiving, allocating, recording, and acknowledging of all gifts.
● Talented team leader and team participant, adept at working with staff members with diverse skills, gifts, expertise and experience.

Athletics:
Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach
The successful candidate will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the program, including practice planning, game-day coaching, player development, and team culture. The position requires strong communication skills, a passion for mentoring young women, and the ability to uphold the mission and values of IWA Athletics.
Qualifications
● Previous coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level (preferred in women’s soccer).
● Strong technical and tactical knowledge of the game.
● Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
● Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
● CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
Preferred
● Collegiate playing/coaching background.
● Experience with Hudl, Veo, or similar video analysis tools.
Compensation
Seasonal stipend, aligned with IWA’s coaching pay scale.

Athletic Trainer
Reports To
• Director of Athletics

Position Summary
The Athletic Trainer at Incarnate Word Academy supports the health, safety, and well‐being of
student-athletes by providing assessment, injury prevention, immediate care, rehabilitation, and
education. The trainer will work closely with coaches, physicians, and school leadership to
deliver high quality sports medicine services that align with IWA’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
Injury Prevention & Conditioning
• Design and implement injury prevention programs (stretching, strengthening, warm-ups,
cool-downs) for all varsity, junior varsity, and club sports
• Monitor conditioning, biomechanics, and movement patterns, recommending
modifications to training loads
• Educate athletes and coaches on safe training practices, sport-specific precautions, and
proper equipment use
Assessment & Immediate Care
• Provide on-site evaluation and initial care of athletic injuries during practices, games, and
tournaments
• Administer first aid, emergency care, and stabilization when necessary
• Determine when further medical referral is required and coordinate transport, if necessary
• Maintain emergency action plans (EAPs), concussion protocols, and return-to-play
procedures
Rehabilitation & Reconditioning
• Develop, supervise, and update individualized rehabilitation programs for injured athletes
• Track progress, adjust protocols, and document outcomes
• Collaborate with physical therapists, orthopedists, and other allied health providers
• Facilitate safe return-to-play decisions in consultation with medical professionalsMedical & Administrative Duties
• Maintain accurate medical records, injury logs, and treatment plans in compliance with
school and regulatory policies
• Stock, organize, and replenish medical and therapy supplies and equipment
• Oversee taping, bracing, modalities (e.g., therapeutic ultrasound, electrical stimulation),
and other modalities as needed
• Assist with pre-season physical examinations, medical screenings, and paperwork (e.g.,
medical history, release forms)
• Ensure compliance with state high school athletic association (MSHSAA) rules regarding
athlete medical clearance
Collaboration & Education
• Serve as a resource to coaches on issues relating to sports medicine, safe training loads,
injury recognition, and return-to-play guidelines
• Conduct periodic workshops or in-services for coaching staff, athletic department, and
student-athletes
• Coordinate with academic staff to monitor injured athletes’ academic accommodations
during recovery
• Liaise with parents, guardians, external medical providers, and insurance as needed
Game & Travel Support
• Provide on-site medical coverage at all home games, matches, and meets
• Travel with teams (as schedule demands) to provide athletic training support at away
competitions
• Assist in planning logistics and transport of medical supplies for off-site events
Additional Duties
• Assist the Athletic Director with related tasks (e.g. scheduling, risk management)
• Stay current on best practices, certifications, and continuing education in sports medicine
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the athletic program’s excellence
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certification
• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or related field
(Master’s preferred)
• Certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (ATC) or equivalent
• State licensure or credentialing to practice as an athletic trainer in Missouri
• Current CPR/AED, First Aid, and Emergency Response certification
• Additional certifications (e.g. concussion management, ACL prevention, return-to-play)

Experience
• Experience working with adolescent or high school athletes
• Familiarity with a range of sports (e.g. volleyball, basketball, cross country, tennis,
soccer, track, swimming, softball) — Incarnate Word Academy fields many of these
sports.
• Experience in acute care, rehabilitation, and athletic training coverage at games/events
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with coaches, athletes, parents, and
medical professionals
