Employment Opportunities

Incarnate Word Academy is a college preparatory high school that strives to challenge young women of faith to achieve their God-given potential academically, physically, spiritually and emotionally, thereby empowering themselves and others to make a positive impact on our world.  The school is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. Incarnate Word Academy is seeking applicants for the following positions for the 2019-20 school year:


Certified Mathematics Teacher – Master’s degree highly desired. Courses may range from Algebra 1 to Pre-Calculus.

Certified English Teacher - Master’s degree highly desired. Applicants must be proficient in composition and literature.

Certified Social Studies Teacher – Master’s degree highly desired. Courses will range from American History & World Areas to Current Issues.

Certified Spanish Teacher – Master’s degree highly desired. Courses taught will be Spanish I and II.

Theology Teacher - The candidate will be able to provide students with opportunities for character development and spiritual growth, guide students in developing a mature understanding of the core beliefs and social teachings of the Catholic Church, form critical thinkers capable of deep reflection, analysis, and dialogue, collaborate within and across departments, and work towards continued improvement of curriculum and instruction to challenge and engage students. A master’s degree in Theology is preferred (bachelor’s degree accepted.)
