From the moment Emily bounded onto the athletic stage at Incarnate Word Academy, it was obvious that she was a gifted athlete. Qualifying in her freshman year as a member of the varsity volleyball team and in her sophomore year as a member of the varsity basketball team, Emily electrified every game in which she competed. In 1994, she played a key role in helping IWA capture the volleyball State Championship, and she served as the team captain in 1994 and 1995. She was also chosen to represent IWA as a member of the 1994 and 1995 Missouri State Volleyball Team's elite squad. In her senior year, she was elected team captain of the varsity basketball team. Emily says that one of the crowning moments of her high school athletic experience was being part of the winning teams that captured both volleyball and basketball state championships during her junior year. After graduating from IWA, Emily attended Clemson University on a Division I volleyball scholarship. At Clemson, she continued to excel in her chosen sport. She was a member of the ACC Tournament Champions in 1997 and the ACC Regular Season Champions in 1999. She received Clemson's Tiger Pride Award all four years of her attendance, and in 1999 her team was ranked in the top 15 collegiate volleyball teams nationwide. In May, 2000 Emily received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Clemson, and has used her knowledge, work ethic, and competitive drive to achieve career success in the pharmaceutical industry over the past 10 years. With all the academic and athletic awards she has received during her career, Emily values her relationships with the people in her life as her greatest accomplishments since her school days at IWA. Mike, her husband, and Emily have been married since 2007, and are the proud parents of Audrey who is almost 2 years old and her little brother Ryan born November 23, 2010.
