The mission of Incarnate Word Academy is to challenge young women of faith to achieve their God-given potential as academically successful Women of the Word, following the example of Jesus, the Incarnate Word, by promoting human dignity, thereby empowering themselves and others to make a positive impact on our world. Admission to IWA is available year round.

Applications for the Class of 2029 are open NOW! To receive your official acceptance letter on January 31, 2025, please complete the IWA Application for Admission by November 25, 2024. You must also have transcripts sent to IWA by December 6, 2024 (see information below.)

Parents must authorize the release of student information from your current school to IWA. Click HERE to download our Transcript Release Form which you must print, sign, and turn into your current school.

To receive your official acceptance letter on January 31, 2025, please complete the IWA Application for Admission by November 25, 2024 and make sure your transcripts have been sent to IWA before December 6, 2024.

IWA currently offers multiple scholarship opportunities to applicants entering the 9th grade. Click HERE to learn more about IWA’s automatic and competitive scholarship opportunities. All essays for competitive scholarships must be submitted in your IWA Admissions Portal no later than December 6, 2024. All essays must be in .doc or .pdf format. If you’re submitting more than one essay, please include all essays in the same digital file.

Please note:

  1. Include your first and last name as well as the name of the scholarship you are applying for at the top of each essay.
  2. Your essay should be in Times New Roman, 12 point font and double spaced.
  3. Essays should be 1-2 pages in length.

Access IWA is an individualized family tuition program that reflects the overall mission and vision of Incarnate Word Academy. We believe that diversity of all kinds, including economic diversity, enriches the education we provide for all of our students. IWA seeks accessibility for all families - particularly those who may feel overlooked by other high schools.

We expect each family to contribute financially to their daughter’s education. Many families pay the full cost of tuition, but we also realize that investing in an Incarnate Word Academy education is a stretch for many families. Through Access IWA, families can apply for reduced tuition based on their specific financial picture.

Helping families more easily and quickly learn of their contribution is the goal of the Access IWA program. As such, Class of 2029 (current 8th grade) families who apply for Access IWA between September 1, 2024 and December 6, 2024 will typically receive a Preliminary Range of Tuition within two weeks of providing the required information listed above. Starting this conversation with IWA sooner than later will benefit both parties. If you successfully complete the Access IWA process before December 6, 2024, an official notification about your tuition will be mailed with your daughter’s acceptance letter on January 31, 2025.

Each applicant and at least one parent/guardian will interview with a member of IWA’s faculty, staff, or administration. Interviews will be held on campus on December 10 or 11, 2024.

Upon completion of your IWA admissions application, you will receive more information regarding the date and time of your IWA admissions interview.

All incoming 9th grade students are required to complete a placement test which helps determine courses to be taken during their freshman year at IWA.

More information will be given to accepted students in the Class of 2029 during Placement Testing on February 8, 2025.
