A ROARING GOOD KNIGHT: Home

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's virtual auction! On Saturday, April 4th, we had over 700 people participating in "A Roaring Good Knight!" Due to the support of our community, we were able to raise over $155,000 this year! We are so thankful for everyone who bid, purchased a raffle ticket and made a Fund the Donation. All of the funds raised will make a huge impact on our Women of the Word in the next school year. 


**Auction Item Delivery Plan**
With the Stay-At-Home mandates extending into May, our team IWA has been working to find the safest way to get your auction winnings to you without having to wait until the mandates are lifted. Please be sure to read all of the information in regards to our delivery plan to ensure that you receive your items. This plan was made with the health and safety of our whole community in mind.

On Saturday, May 2nd, members of the Incarnate Word Academy staff and “A Roaring Good Knight” auction committee will be delivering items to all of this year’s auction winners. To be sure you are on the schedule, you will need to confirm your delivery address and a cell phone number to hclark@iwacademy.org by Monday, April 27th.

**Delivery Plan FAQ's**

1. Why is the delivery not until May 2nd?
a. The delivery date is set for this time in order to ensure the health and safety of our team. The health department has shared that the highest risk of exposure is the last two weeks of April, so we are limiting our contact by not making deliveries during that time frame. The May 2nd date also allows our staff member enough time to package all of the items for delivery.

2. How do I make sure my item is delivered?
a. All auction item winners must confirm their address and a cell phone number to hclark@iwacademy.org by April 27th in order to ensure correct delivery.
b. Your delivery driver will also not leave your items on your porch until you have come outside to get them and texted a confirmation that you have received them. This is to guarantee that items have been received and lowers the risk of them being taken by someone else.

3. What if I am unavailable on May 2nd?
a. If no one is available on May 2nd to accept the delivery, you will not be able to get your item until our pick-up date which will be scheduled as soon as the Stay-At-Home mandates are lifted.

4. Can my item be mailed to me?
a. If you only received a gift certificate or other item that will fit in a flat envelope, we will mail that item to you the week of April 27th.

5. How do I know my items are safe from this delivery?
a. To minimize risk, your items will have only been handled by our Director of Special Events and your delivery driver. As with all deliveries during this time, take any extra precautions needed. To learn more about this, visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html

6. One of my items was missing or incorrect, what now?
a. If you somehow received an item that was not yours, contact hclark@iwacademy.org. Item exchange will be scheduled as needed.
