OCIA Program

Incarnate Word Academy offers the OCIA program for students who are seeking to explore Catholicism, prepare for the Sacraments, and continue their journey of faith in a supportive, welcoming environment. Whether you have never been baptized or are seeking to complete your First Communion or Confirmation, this program is designed for you.

What to Expect:

  • Weekly, one-hour meetings during the school day (outside of Theology class) from September through Easter
  • A relaxed space to learn about the Catholic faith and ask questions
  • Guidance and mentorship from Mr. Jake Terry (Theology Teacher) and Mrs. Mary Kate Garner (Director of Campus Ministry)
  • Connection to a local parish for the reception of your Sacraments and continued faith life
  • A supportive community of fellow IWA students walking the same path

Through OCIA, students have the opportunity to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, and Reconciliation, depending on individual needs.

If you are curious about the Catholic faith or feel called to take the next step, we invite you to prayerfully consider this journey.
