Visit IWA
We strongly encourage students to visit us to experience life as a Red Knight. After an all-day campus visit, students leave with more knowledge about the ins and outs of Incarnate Word Academy.

Complete Your IWA Application
Submit your IWA application, check the status of your checklist items, and more through your personal IWA Admissions Portal.
Applications for the Class of 2031 are open now. To receive your official acceptance letter on January 29, 2027, please complete the IWA Application for Admission by November 17, 2026.
Your transcripts must also be sent to IWA by December 7, 2026.

Send Your Transcripts to IWA
Parents must authorize the release of student information from their current school to IWA.
Download the Transcript Release Form, print and sign it, and turn it in to your current school.
To receive your official acceptance letter on January 29, 2027, please complete the IWA Application for Admission by November 17, 2026 and make sure your transcripts have been sent to IWA before December 7, 2026.

Submit Competitive Scholarship Essays
Optional
IWA offers multiple scholarship opportunities to applicants entering the ninth grade. Competitive scholarship essays must be submitted in your IWA Admissions Portal no later than December 7, 2026.
All essays must be in .doc or .pdf format. If submitting more than one essay, please include all essays in the same digital file.
- Include your first and last name and the name of the scholarship at the top of each essay.
- Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, double spaced.
- Essays should be 1–2 pages in length.

Complete the Access IWA Process
Optional
Access IWA is an individualized family tuition program that reflects the mission and vision of Incarnate Word Academy. We believe economic diversity enriches the education we provide for all of our students, and IWA seeks accessibility for all families.
Through Access IWA, families may apply for reduced tuition based on their specific financial picture.
Class of 2031 families who successfully complete the Access IWA process by December 7, 2026 can receive official tuition notification with their daughter's acceptance letter on January 29, 2027.

Participate in an Admissions Interview
Each applicant and at least one parent or guardian will interview with a member of IWA's faculty, staff, or administration.
Interviews will be held on campus on December 9 or 10, 2026. Upon completion of your IWA admissions application, you will receive more information regarding your interview date and time.

Admissions Decisions Are Mailed
To receive your official acceptance letter on January 29, 2027, please complete the IWA Application for Admission by November 17, 2026 and have transcripts released to IWA by December 7, 2026.

Placement Testing
All incoming ninth-grade students are required to complete a placement test, which helps determine courses to be taken during their freshman year at IWA.

Class of 2031 families return to IWA for Registration Night. More information will be shared with accepted students before the event.
