College Credit Options
Incarnate Word Academy offers students College Credit opportunities through AP Courses and the Dual Credit Program.
AP Courses
AP courses are rigorous, college-level classes that give students an opportunity to gain the skills and experience colleges recognize.
Incarnate Word Academy offers:
AP Biology
AP Calculus
AP French
AP World History
Dual Credit Program
The Dual Credit Programs offered through UMSL and SLU offer qualifying, high‐caliber high school students in select schools the opportunity to earn college credits and become familiar with the college experience while still in a high school setting. College credits earned through this program are accepted at all of Missouri's public colleges and universities and many other institutions across the country.
Eligibility:
To enroll in Dual Credit courses, the signature of a high school counselor or teacher is required to verify the eligibility requirements found below (all GPA’s based on 4.0 scale):
· Juniors and Seniors with cumulative GPAs of 3.0 or above are automatically eligible for dual credit courses.
· Juniors and Seniors with cumulative GPAs between 2.5‐2.99 are also eligible; however, they must provide a signed letter of recommendation from their principal and guidance counselor and provide written permission from a parent or legal guardian.
