Staff
Director of Admissions
Incarnate Word Academy seeks an energetic, relational, strategic and mission driven leader to serve as Director of Admissions. This role is ideal for someone who can share IWA’s story with passion and authenticity.
Reporting directly to the Principal, her/his priority is the development and execution of a comprehensive admissions strategy for Incarnate Word Academy. The Director of Admissions focuses on student recruitment, admissions, enrollment management and student retention. The admissions team, consisting of the Principal, Director of Admissions, Assistant Director of Admissions, Admissions and Development Coordinator, work in a collaborative manner to achieve admissions goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements a comprehensive admissions strategy and plan.
- Sets specific and measurable admissions goals and objectives with input and approval of the Principal.
- Manages the Admissions team including the Assistant Director of Admissions and Admissions and Development Support Coordinator
- Directly markets IWA to prospective families via a series of planned events both on and off campus including but not limited to: High School Fairs, Shadow Days, Open House, Red Knight on the Road and prospective parent programming.
- Manages the admissions process including but not limited to student recruitment, enrollment management and student retention.
- Oversees the management of admissions budget.
- Collects and analyzes data to determine effective marketing strategies.
- Works closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications for IWA’s brand and enrollment.
- Collaborates with Marketing and Communications Director to develop and implement a strategic communications and marketing plan including print materials, social media and the website.
- Oversees the management of the database to track prospective students and their families.
- Builds and fosters relationships with elementary and middle school leaders, graduate support directors and key influencers.
- Reviews applications and is a member of the admissions selection committee.
- Oversees transfer student recruitment and admissions process.
- Provides regular reports on recruitment, admissions, and retention activities.
- Represents the mission and charism of IWA to internal and external community members.
- Other tasks, as needed and requested by the Principal.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years professional experience in a sales or marketing role, ideally in an academic/admissions environment
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to relate to prospective students and parents
- Ability to conceptualize and execute innovative approaches based upon data and trends
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Effective collaborator, able to work across multiple departments
- Marketing and social media knowledge

Staff Accountant
Incarnate Word Academy - Staff Accountant

Incarnate Word Academy is seeking a Staff Accountant for the 2026-27 school year to join a dedicated team of educators committed to educating young women. The Staff Accountant reports to the school’s Chief Financial Officer.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Records transactions and maintain existing accounts in CYMA accounting system.
- Performs monthly reconciliations for all accounts and entries.
- Receive and record Accounts Receivable. This includes working with the Blackbaud Tuition Management system.
- Accounts Payable, review coding of vouchers, set up check runs.
- Prepare monthly journal entries in preparation for month-end closing.
- Oversee all bank deposits, in person and electronically.
- Works with Advancement to reconcile donations.
- Assist with the audit, both pre-audit preparation and external auditors in their work.
- Coordinates payroll and benefit changes and is responsible for payroll accuracy.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 2+ years of related experience, or 4+ years’ experience without such degree
- Experience in Non Profit or Academic background preferred.
- Understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.
- Commitment to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Strong communication, organization and time management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and good record keeping.
- Must be highly skilled with financial and numerical data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, and especially Excel).
IWA offers a competitive salary, commensurate with candidate qualifications, as well as comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, a 403(b) savings plan and vacation. Four day work weeks in the summer and two weeks off at Christmas.

Chief Financial Officer
Major Responsibilities:
With the President, Principal and the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees, the Chief Financial
Officer is responsible for establishing and managing the school budget, managing all accounting aspects
of the school, including school payroll, employee benefits, government reports, audit management and
compliance, capital projects management, insurance and investments management. In addition to the
financial management of the school, the CFO is the manager overseeing Human Resources, Facilities and
Information Technology.
Specific Duties Related to Major Responsibilities:
School Budget: Collaborates with the President, Principal, Administrative Team members and Faculty
Chairs to develop operating budgets. Prepare and propose budgets for Facilities and Capital Projects.
Presents the budgets for approval to the Board of Trustees (BOT) Finance Committee.
Accounting Records: Maintains responsibility for all accounting records, prepares and presents balance
sheets, income statements and investment reports and submits these documents to the BOT Finance
Committee.
Human Resources:
Working with the President and Principal, develops and offers employee annual
contracts and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of payroll information in the payroll system by
working with the Staff Accountant. Coordinates with contractors providing employee benefits,
insurance and savings plans. Responsible for the effective internal communication of these plans to
employees.
Government Reports: Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all information required by government
directives.
Audit Management and Compliance: Provides financial data and related information in support of the
annual Financial audit. Fulfills any audit recommendations and ensures compliance with all audit
procedures.
Capital Projects Management: In conjunction with the President and the Director of Facilities
Management, manages all financial and accounting aspects of Capital Projects. Provides financial input
and support to the selection of contractors providing services to IWA.
Investments Management: In conjunction with the President, the BOT Finance Committee and our
investment/banking partners, ensures fiscal responsibility for all financial investment and operating
accounts and that management of all investments are in compliance with IWA Investment Policies.
Employee Management: Directs the activities of the Staff Accountant, the Director of Information
Technology and the Director of Maintenance and Physical Plant.
Student Financial Awards: Coordinates with the IWA Administration in the determination of merit
scholarship awards. Provides students and their families financial awards based on their financial need
and other factors. Responsible for tuition plans and collection.
Member of Finance Committee: Maintains relationships with key service providers (ie. Investments,
Banking, Savings and Benefits plans, insurance plans, etc.) and schedules provider presentations to the
BOT Finance Committee as appropriate.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 8+ years in Financial management and/or Accounting management
Depth of operational experience with financial software and financial management systems such as
Blackbaud, Financial Edge Accounting and Paylocity Payroll software.
Experience working in or with non-profit organizations, educational institutions and particularly Catholic
educational institutions is highly desired.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting and/or Finance. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
