Lisa Patterson-Orlet, '87

Volleyball has always been a passion in Lisa Patterson-Orlet’s life. As a Red Knight, Lisa played on the 1984 and 1986 state championship teams receiving All State honors her Junior Year. Lisa’s drive, determination and passion as a player continued as a Kansas University Jayhawk volleyball player for four seasons. Her last season as a Jayhawk (1990), Lisa was named to the Big 8 Conference All-Tournament Team. She continues to hold the Jayhawk’s record for total attempts in five games with 80 at Oklahoma. Lisa tested the waters as a professional volleyball player for one year (1998) with the St. Louis Spirits but her new-found passion was coaching. In 2002, Lisa returned to her Alma Mater and led the Red Knights to six successful seasons (196-25). The Red Knights captured the Missouri Class 4A state title in 2003, 2004 and 2005 while also posting top-four finishes in 2002 and 2007. Individually, Lisa has also received numerous accolades.
