Throughout her professional career, Molly has dedicated her incredible energy and remarkable intellectual and creative talents to safeguarding and promoting the rights of families and children. As the Respect Life Director for the St. Louis Archdiocese from 1995 to 2007, she initiated some innovative programs, among them the Right START Program, a respect-for-life curriculum for 8th graders in diocesan schools. She also implemented the Creative Writing Scholarship Awards to recognize the excellence of elementary school students’ written testaments to core moral values. Molly was responsible for initiating the high school teenagers’ trip to Washington D.C. to participate in the Annual March for Life, which has grown from an initial group of thirteen students to over one thousand participants today. For her impressive efforts in support of Christian family and life principles, Molly has received such distinguished awards as the
St. Louis Archdiocese’s Woman of the Church award and the People of Life award bestowed by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. She is on the Advisory Board of the St. Louis chapter of the National Coalition for the Protection of Children and Families. Molly lives in Kirkwood with her husband, Al, and spends as much time as she can with her four children (ALL of whom live out of town) and six grandchildren. Molly says it’s heartwarming to be recognized now by the older grandkids (the two to four-year-olds) as Grandma.
