IWA Shadow Program FAQs
When Can I Visit?
8th graders can visit September - October
from 7:50am - 2:15pm.
7th graders can visit February - April
from 7:50am - 12:05pm.
Most school days are available except the days when IWA doesn't have classes or has a special schedule. It's best to have a few dates in mind when you call to set up the shadow visit.
Who Will I Be Shadowing?
IWA has a group of fifty Sophomore Ambassadors who are chosen to represent the school and show visitors. If you know a sophomore, you may check to see if she is a Sophomore Ambassador. If you don't know a Sophomore Ambassador, you will be paired with one who either went to the same grade school as you or shares the same interests as you.
Where Do We Meet?
We will meet in the Board Room in the back of the Theater building. The Theater building is located in the middle of our campus. Drive down to the lot behind the building by the tennis courts. There are two visitor parking spots across the double doors. Enter in through the double doors, and immediately to your left is the Board Room.
What Do I Wear?
Visitors usually wear khakis and a nice shirt or their grade school uniform (if applicable) and comfortable shoes.
What Do I Bring?
You may bring along your own school work, a novel, or a magazine to read.
Can I Have My Friends Shadow The Same Day I Do?
Of course, we encourage visitors to bring their friends the same day they visit. You will see them throughout the day and at lunch.
