Theology

Mission Statement

The Theology Department, Campus Ministry and Mission Coordinator of IWA preach, teach and live the Word of God, Jesus Christ. Teachers, Campus Minister, Mission Coordinator and students journey together in prayer, knowledge and service to build the reign of God on earth.


Danielle Harrison

Mrs. Harrison is a graduate of Dartmouth College, St. Louis University Law School, and Aquinas Institute of Theology.  She holds a bachelor's degree in English, a Master's degree in Theology, and a Juris Doctorate. Mrs. Harrison has worked for the governing staff of the Missouri Province of Jesuits, has been a founding member of a retreat center in Southern California, and the director of a Center for Spiritual and Leadership Development in West Texas.

Mrs. Harrison enjoys reading, writing, and playing the piano. She serves as a cantor at her church,and works with the National Black Catholic Congress. 




Anthony D'Agostino

Anthony D’Agostino started teaching at Incarnate Word Academy (IWA) in the fall of 2004.  He has two undergraduate degrees in theology and philosophy with a minor in psychology from Saint Louis University (SLU).  He also earned his masters in theology from SLU and is currently working on his degree in public policy administration with an emphasis on non-profit organizations from the University of Missouri – Saint Louis (UMSL).  Since arriving at IWA, Anthony has become the theology department chairperson, moderator of the junior class, moderator of the nature club, and supervisor students after school.  He has helped lead the department towards a new elective curriculum (which contains more diversity and course options for students) and the production of knight prayers (specific prayers created by students pertaining to course materials and published by the theology department).  He has also helped initiate the transition of single-stream recycling to the community of IWA and supervised the successful execution of many events such as junior ring day and prom.  Anthony enjoys books pertaining to world religious traditions and spiritual development, particularly Living Buddha, Living Christ by Thich Nhat Hanh and The Seven Storey Mountain by Thomas Merton.  He belongs to Saint Joseph’s Church in Clayton, Missouri and volunteers as a mentor at the Urban Future program in the city of Saint Louis.


Meghan Mueller

Meghan Mueller has been teaching at Incarnate Word Academy since 2007.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Fontbonne University and completed her Master of Divinity at the Aquinas Institute of Theology. She has a background in college campus ministry and now teaches Morality to juniors and Spiritual Anthropology and Contemporary Culture & Religion to seniors.  She is co-moderator of National Honor Society and a member of the Incarnate Word Academy Mission Committee.

Maria Przada

Ms. Maria Przada has been at IWA since 1977. Ms. Przada has a BA in Spanish and Theology from Fontbonne University and a MRE (Masters in Religious Education) from Loyola University, New Orleans.  She holds a Missouri Teacher Certificate (Spanish) for grades 7 through 12. One of the highlights of Ms. Przada’s teaching career has been her work at the Truman Restorative Center for 31 years until the Truman Center was closed.  Ms. Przada and her students from St. James the Greater and IWA were part of the Retreat for Shut Ins program sponsored by the Archdiocese of St. Louis. 

Ms. Przada has served on the Strategic Planning Committee for the Archdiocese of St. Louis, the Board of Directors for CBC high school; she has received the Sr. Thea Bowman Award from the Archdiocesan Office of Social Justice; has been named in Who’s Who Among American Teachers, and she has worked extensively with the Archdiocesan Respect Life Apostolate. She is one of the founders of the LIFT program (Life Information for Teens) which is an integral part of the Archdiocesan Pro Life movement.  Moving beyond the classroom in religious education is the core of the mission of Incarnate Word Academy which states that the young women work to promote human dignity and make a positive impact on the Church and the world.
