Admissions Timeline

November 1, 2009 ~ High School Open House
Most high schools will conduct an Open House on this Sunday. Tours will be given and personnel will be available to answer questions. (Schedule posted at http://www.archstl.org/)

November 11, 2009 ~ Applications Are Due

Eighth graders in Catholic elementary schools return completed application forms to their elementary school principals.

November 23, 2009 ~ Records Are Due

Elementary school principals send their eighth graders' applications and/or records to the first high school chosen. Records should include: (1) a copy of the student's cumulative record, including all final grades, standardized test results (including the 9/2003 ITBS/CogAT results), and diagnostic test results; (2) a copy of the report card for first quarter of eighth grade; (3) $3 for each applicant to that particular high school. No letters of recommendation are to be written by elementary principals or teachers. PSR Directors also send student records on this date.

January 19, 2010 ~ 1st Semester Report Cards

Elementary school principals send copies of first semester report cards to the first high schools chosen by their eighth graders. PSR Directors also send student records on this date.

January 25, 2010 ~ 2nd and 3rd Round Applications

If high schools cannot accept applicants, please forward their applications to the next school listed as soon as possible, but no later than January 25, so that the other schools can conduct their admissions procedures within the timeline. Please pass records along to the next school listed on the application even if you are quite sure the student will not be accepted at a given school.

February 5, 2010 ~ Acceptance and Non-Acceptance Letters Sent Out

High schools mail letters of acceptance and non-acceptance, postmarked by noon. When they arrive at the students' homes depends on the post offices serving the high schools and the applicants' homes.

High Schools will send notification to elementary principals and PSR Directors by e-mail on February 5. Elementary and PSR staffs are asked to keep the students' acceptance status confidential until the letters from the high schools arrive at the students' homes.
